After successful STAAD workshop, STAAD competition was held. We got good response from the workshop as the students were keenly interested to learn new things. Marks for the competition were awarded on basis of Geometry, Member Properties, Loading, Analysis and Design of given problem.
Winner for the STAAD competition is “Kamal”
Runner Up for the competition is “Atul”

With the end of STAAD workshop yesterday… 
The event will start today, 31 Oct 2010 at 4.30 pm in C-103
Please note that all students are requested to bring their own laptops, as the competition is for individuals, not a group.
Yesterday was third day of STAAD workshop and previous exercises were repeated and applying loads was discussed in details. There is a bit change in workshop, the registration amount, now will be used to provide certificates of participation in STAAD workshop. Moreover, the society is also organising a competition to check the students if they’ve got some benefit from this workshop or not.
Soon, we will be asking our trainers to create a video tutorial series to make it easier for people to learn STAAD.Pro v8i. Keep checking this official blog of Infrastructure society, NIT Kurukshetra for more updates.
Today was the second day of STAAD workshop organised by society and we feel good to spread the knowledge among students regarding various features of STAAD. Following topics were covered in this workshop-
